My name's Waz, I'm the owner of Anytime Fitness. We own a number of Anytime Fitness franchises in southern Sydney.

Before we engaged itGenius challenges we started off as just a single unit franchise, so it was easy to manage most of our systems because we were operating on only one PC. We then opened a number of other franchises. We were really chasing ourselves in managing our systems because we were operating individually when we should have been operating together. Each process wasn't aligned and each gym was doing a different thing for the same thing, so at the end of the day we didn't know what the other was doing and we had a lot of files that were duplicated and we weren't managing our emails properly at all.

Although we had concerns about how we'd onboard the actual processes and assign a Google site, Gmail and Google Docs, they weren't anything significant, so it was very easy, very simple. The team from itGenius really looked after us in making sure that any problems we may have were solved before they actually happened. Google apps, especially the Google sites part of it has allowed us to have all of our documents, all of our systems, all of our procedures in the one spot where everyone's following the same process, the same system at the same time.

That's allowed us to speed up our efficiency and also we're not phoning each other repeatedly asking how to do something. It's now straight in front of each other and it's freed up a lot of my space especially because I used to spend a lot of time on the phone to all the different sites explaining how to do something, whereas now it's there, it's simple and it's easy.

I took my laptop away with me. It got water damaged badly. I was then leaving to go to another country the next day and I needed my laptop with me so that I could still manage the business. I was able to just go and purchase another PC and then from that simply log back on to Google Docs and I had every single part of the business there for me ready and able to use. If I hadn't engaged with itGenius that would have been lost and I would have had a really tough four weeks while I was away in trying to work out what was going on in our business and manage it as well.

Now that we've got Google apps and the whole system from itGenius, it's really easy for us to move forward with our business and we're now looking at further acquisitions, further openings of Anytime Fitness gyms as well and also looking at other business opportunities. It's freed up a lot of time in my day and my whole team as well. They were able to really boost our business and then expand it at the same time too.

For anyone who's considering moving to Google Apps, I'd say do it. It's really allowed our business to boost, it's allowed us to focus on our team, our training and then the performance of our business to make it go forward into the future. It's a cost saving really if you think about it because you're saving time, time is money and it's the best thing for your business.

One of the best parts about the system we took on from itGenius is when we implemented a sign on. I can see what my team's doing all the time. I get instant notifications on my phone of when they've completed a task and the best thing as well it's organizing it then for themselves. They know when they've done something, they know when it's not finished and they consistently update that task as well. It's been an absolute godsend to our business.
