Here's some reasons why Google Voice is the most exciting Google product to hit the business world in a very long time. Google Voice is coming to the world. And although it's only released currently in the United States and select other countries, Google Voice is soon to be rolled out for all Google Workspace users, it's been progressively rolled out country by country and on a as needed access basis right now. But soon, we will all be lucky enough to get access to it. Now, what is Google Voice? Well, it is a digital phone system built for the cloud era. If you are a Google Workspace subscriber, well, it ties straight into everything that you're using in your Google Workspace account. Now, even though Google Voice has been available as a consumer service, it is now being brought to the business world with some exclusive features just for business users. Now, Google Voice is available on some desk phones to be connected so it can work on the phone. But why would you want to use this app on your phone? It's best in the web or on your mobile device. Google Voice is designed to be a business phone system that comes with you anywhere. And the whole premise of Google Voice is that you'll have one number tied to you that all of your devices ring on, no matter where you are. And one of the great things about Google Voice is you can choose both individual forwarding numbers. But with the business version tied to Google Workspace, you can actually create ring groups, create departments, and create call flow patterns for your customers to move through your phone system and find the right person. Think of it as a completely virtual version of what would normally call a PBX or, you know, standardized phone system that would have to sit in a cupboard somewhere in your business. Now, why would you choose this over something like a traditional VoIP system that you can order from an IT person or a network company to help you out with telephony? Well, Google Voice is deeply integrated with the rest of the Google ecosystem, it means the billing is much more straightforward, and integrates with the rest of your Google life. Some of the cool things that are integrated in the Google world are things like automatically forwarding your calls to voicemail after hours. And this is based on your calendar, you can do things like voicemail transcriptions, which automatically come through as push notifications. All of these features are built into the Google world. And of course, being Google, the customer experience is excellent on all of the applications. Now, unfortunately, it's not yet rolled out to all countries.
