Chromebooks are often criticised for being ‘too simple’ compared to other machines in the market. However, this simplicity is often considered as one of its best features, since anyone can just use it. These are often used in education and even as gifts to elderly parents. Peter Moriarty here on a work from anywhere Friday, I’m down at the beautiful Bondi Beach teasing you with the view to beautiful sunny winter’s day. It’s actually nice out. It’s been pretty cold in Sydney lately. But I wanted to share something which is a bit of a follow-up from one of our previous webinars on Chrome devices from one of our customers. He’s a member, his name is Michael. And he actually shared that he bought three Chromebooks for his kids. So it’s a great way for him to have shared devices. So you know, they’re nice and locked down and secured. But also, he actually set up a G Suite account for each one of his kids as well, so that all their data, you know is backed up and saved. So if anyone’s, you know, got kids in their school age, they’re doing school projects, or they’re, you know, doing assignments, and you know, you’re worried about backing up their data, they may be getting upset if, if they lose their data, then Chromebooks are a great option to share with the kids. So that’s my number one tip today is consider using Chromebooks at home for family now, you don’t necessarily need to splash out on a business level Chromebook, you could go to somewhere like JB hi fi and get a really basic one aim for the education market. If you wanted to look at that. Tip number two, is you can also use Chromebooks for parents. So if you’ve got elderly folk, and they just need a real simple computer to access the internet, maybe use Google Hangouts keep connected to the rest of the family. And Chromebooks are pretty much unbreakable. And you can also remote support them as well, using Chrome Remote Desktop. So my two tips today, Chromebooks great kids, great for all people. Have a wonderful weekend, signing off.
