Behind the scenes, we’re down to the last week of our Remote Work Playbook 8-week exclusive online course.

This week’s training was Going Remote: How to ditch the office for good to help your team understand the basics and advantages of operating completely remotely and how to build a more collaborative remote team.

Some of the key takeaways in the training were:

  • Your Ideal Workspace – This means having a dedicated workspace where you can be productive and have an energetic shift from home mode to work mode. Whether you are working right in your home, traveling, or in coworking spaces, make sure that you have a healthy work routine.
  • Task Batching – It’s creating a good rhythm for you and for the business. Pick meetings to happen on the same days regularly to help build this rhythm. Make sure you focus on high-value tasks – not on the lower priority tasks – that will impact the business in the coming months or years.
  • Get the Team Together – If you choose to go completely remote, you need to have connected time with your team. Organise regular catch up like dinners especially for team members who live in the same area. What we do is to get the team together at least once a year, catching up like what you would normally do when you are working in the office.
