Behind the scenes, we’re now in the fifth week of our Remote Work Playbook 8-week online course.

This week’s training was Remote Team Line of Sight, KPIs, and Meeting Rhythms to make sure that your team is aligned with your company goals, you are going to be able to execute well on your mission, and your team rally around what you’re doing.

Being passionate about technology to facilitate growth, we also shared the technology tools we used to support what we’re doing.

Some of the key takeaways in the training were:

  • Line of Sight – This is about translating the strategic execution to your team. Start with your vision. Get the team involved in setting the vision of the business and they’re going to feel empowered to actually make it happen.
  • Developing Effective KPIs – Make sure to have an effective business structure before developing your KPIs. Break down the different areas of your business and identify the key metrics that you’re going to use in measuring team and individual performance.
  • Quarterly Planning – After deciding on your annual strategy, it helps to bring the whole team together (at least four times a year) to connect and realign with everyone the annual strategy.
  • Meeting Rhythms – Daily huddles, weekly retrospective, and monthly all hands. This is the actual strategic execution to make sure that things get done. Bring the team together in the right and simplest format to see how things are going at an individual level and the transfer of information is processed throughout the team.

Here’s our live broadcast covering the key business KPIs we use and how Google Data Studio helps us in hitting our goals.
