Behind the scenes, we’re now in the third week of our Remote Work Playbook 8-week online course.

This week’s training was The Ultimate Remote Work Tech Stack.

We shared the framework we live by to efficiently manage our remote team. Using the right set of tools will help you communicate easily, keep track of who is doing what, and maintain a seamless and professional operation.

Some of the key takeaways in the training were:

  • Connect – Laying the foundation and making sure you can work productively together. And for us, that foundation is G Suite – using Chat for check-ins and Docs for collaboration.
  • Coordinate – For priorities and KPIs, we use Google Data Studio to know how things are going. Using a task management system like Asana allows you to record both daily tasks and bigger projects. We use Copper for effective managing of relationships with partners and customers.
  • Communicate – The two areas we need to focus on are email and phone communication. Using shared email inboxes like Hiver is helpful for the delegation of emails to your team. Cloud-based phone systems like Dialpad separates your personal and business numbers when communicating externally.

One of the highlights of this week was our live broadcast comparing two of the most popular video conferencing applications for business – Google Meet and Zoom. Watch it here:
